This is a very interesting perspective.

Did you know an UberX driver can quite easily earn more than 50k/m? That’s more than what most software companies pay!

Will taxis be ever be able to beat autos? How big is the market? And what’s the road ahead?

In this price war between VC backed comapanies, the consumers seem to be winning! With UberGo and the 45% price cut in Bangalore, the base fare comes down to just Rs.22 and Rs.6.6/km. I’m not sure if even Ola’s Nano’s and autos will be able to beat that. What say?

This is quite a big deal for both Uber and PayTM. However this does still increase the number of steps for taking and paying for an Uber ride. Don’t you think it’ll ruin the Uber experience?

Secondly with this move anyone can now use Uber since this will now allow Debit Cards and Netbanking as well. This will make more people use Uber i guess now!

Ola is going cashless as well at last. By November all the cab players will essentially have the same wallet system and then we’ll know which player is winning :P

After Uber being forced out of India, looks like the government is going to crack down on Indian Ecommere players. Flipkart is already looking at Rs.1400cr fine.

I’m not sure how such policies will ever help build the startup ecosystem or for that matter even retain startups in India. Most companies are forced to register outside India to be able to complete globally thanks to such policies. Is there a solution?

Uber’s getting into ridesharing, what do other ride-sharing startups feel about this? :P

Though Uber’s credit card req will still be an issue in India, so that’s one good thing in your favour.
