This is quite a big deal for both Uber and PayTM. However this does still increase the number of steps for taking and paying for an Uber ride. Don’t you think it’ll ruin the Uber experience?
Secondly with this move anyone can now use Uber since this will now allow Debit Cards and Netbanking as well. This will make more people use Uber i guess now!
After Uber being forced out of India, looks like the government is going to crack down on Indian Ecommere players. Flipkart is already looking at Rs.1400cr fine.
I’m not sure how such policies will ever help build the startup ecosystem or for that matter even retain startups in India. Most companies are forced to register outside India to be able to complete globally thanks to such policies. Is there a solution?
